Global Dental Ambassadors

After nearly a year of planning, SDL-alumni Dr. Callum Durward and Dr.David Okuji successfully led a collaboration between the University of Puthisastra and the Global Dental Ambassadors (GDA), which provided an international exchange of oral health knowledge. Website for the programme.

The dental students and faculty members with the University of Puthisastra interacted with an international team of GDA dentists for lectures, clinical supervision, and small-group seminars during a 4-day programme in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Knowledge was exchanged on the topics of dental public health, HIV, periodontics, special needs care, implantology, oral cancer, temporomandibular disorders, pediatric dentistry, sleep health, and oral pathology. A special visit was made by SDL-alumni, Dr. Hak Sithan and Dr. Tepirou Chher, with the Ministry of Health-Cambodia.
