Dr Yuxing Bai

Having completed undergraduate studies at the School of Stomatology, West China University of Medical Sciences (which is now known as School of West-China Stomatology, Sichuan University) in 1990, Yuxing Bai continued his postgraduate program majoring in orthodontics in the same school, getting his Ph.D. degree after graduation in 1995. He went to the 2nd department of orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University as a visiting scholar for further research and study from 1999-2000. From 2001, he was in School of Dentistry, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for continuing research in orthodontics for another 1 year period. Professor Yuxing Bai is now holding a position of Vice Dean, School of Stomatology, Capital Medical University, China. His research interests cover several major fields in orthodontics, including orthodontic fixed appliances, functional orthopaedic treatment, three dimensional diagnosis of dentofacial deformities, invisible aligner technique, clinical orthodontic biomechanics et al. Based on many national research grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, more than 100 research papers of his have been published in academic journals, or presented in many national and international academic conferences. Prof Yuxing Bai has held the role of Vice-president of Chinese Orthodontic Society since 2007. Meanwhile, he has been Vice-president of Chinese Association of Computerized Dentistry, Standing committee member of Chinese Association of Stomatological Education, deputy editor-in-chief of Beijing Journal of Stomatology and editor of several other stomatological journals in China, such as Chinese Journal of Stomatology, et al. Besides, Prof Bai has been active international members in several academic organizations internationally for many years, such as American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), Japanese Orthodontic Society (JOS), World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO), International Association of Dental Research (IADR), et al.
