Professor Adam Stabholz graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine founded by the Alpha Omega Fraternity and completed the graduate program in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 1993, he was elected Dean of the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine.

He was awarded honorary degrees from the University of Bucharest and the University of Buenos Aires, the Certificate of Merit of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and the Alumni Award of Merit from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. He received from the Israel Dental Association the highest award for outstanding contribution to the dental profession in Israel.

He is a full professor in Endodontics and served as President of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations, as the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Israel Dental Association and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

Professor Stabholz has published extensively in the dental literature, is the author of several chapters in endodontic textbooks and has lectured at many international dental meetings.

In 2005 Adam Stabholz was elected again as Dean of the Hebrew University - Hadassah School of Dental Medicine and in 2009 was re-elected for his fourth term in office.

Recommendation

After 36 years as a dentist who is a clinician, teacher and researcher, I have no doubt that dentistry is one of the most interesting, challenging and fulfilling free professions. The rapid technological developments are quickly incorporated into the dental profession and young individual who will chose dental medicine as a career will find a fascinating experience as well as a very rewarding one.
